Billy Bailey Fatal Riverbank Accident at Patterson Road and Hot Springs Lane Wednesday Afternoon

Riverbank, California (December 19, 2020) – Authorities have identified 91-year-old Billy Bailey as the Modesto victim who died following a traffic collision in Riverbank Wednesday afternoon.

At about 2:30 p.m., December 16, officials received a crash report involving two vehicles near the intersection of Patterson Road and Hot Springs Lane.

The accident involved a Toyota Corolla driven by 24-year-old Alyssa Herrera westbound on Patterson Road and a Lincoln Town Car.

The Lincoln Town Car reportedly pulled onto Patterson Road into the path of Herrera’s car.

While entering from the north side of the road, the Corolla then slammed into the side of the Lincoln.

Bailey, who was operating the Lincoln, died in the hospital while undergoing treatment.

Paramedics also rushed Herrera, an Oakdale resident, to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Officials did not believe intoxication was a factor in the mishap.

An investigation into the accident is underway. Anyone with information regarding the wreck is asked to call the Riverbank Police Services substation at 209-869-7162.
