Driver Dies in Sacramento Car Crash at Florin Road and Excelsior Road
1 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision at Florin and Excelsior Roads in Sacramento
Sacramento, California (December 22, 2020) – A driver was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Sacramento on Monday morning.
The fatal collision happened at around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Florin and Excelsior Roads.
The California Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided on the roadway for unknown reasons.
One of the vehicles was pushed off the road after the crash and caught fire.
The other car remained on the roadway and was hit by a third vehicle.
The unidentified driver of the second car was killed in the accident.
The driver of the burning vehicle escaped with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the third vehicle was also injured in the crash.
The CHP believes heavy fog in the area might have been a factor in the crash.
