Santa Clara Bicycle Accident on El Camino Real Left 84-Year-Old Hae Choe Dead

Santa Clara, California (November 8, 2020) – Authorities have released the name of the 84-year-old Santa Clara bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday evening in Santa Clara.

The fatal bicycle accident took place in the evening hours on El Camino Real near Kiely Boulevard.

Hae Sook Choe was struck by a red 2010 Ford Ranger while riding a bicycle westbound on eastbound El Camino Real.

The Ford driver, who stopped after hitting Choe, was turning onto the highway from a parking lot at the collision time.

Sadly, Choe was declared dead at the crash site.

An investigation into the fatal accident is underway.
