39-Year-Old Rebecca Swafford Killed in Amador City Head-On Accident on Highway 49
Rebecca Swafford Fatal Amador City Car Accident on Highway 49 Friday Afternoon
Amador City, California (November 16, 2020) – The Amador County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the two Mokelumne Hill victims who died following a traffic collision Friday afternoon in Amador City.
The deadly crash happened just before 3:11 p.m., November 13, on Highway 49 in the Drytown Area.
A 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 43-year-old Brandon Harris crashed head-on with another automobile on the highway, possibly due to poor weather conditions.
Sadly, Harris and his passenger, 39-year-old Rebecca Swafford, died in the crash.
Meanwhile, a family dog also involved reportedly died in the mishap.
An investigation into the fatal accident is underway.
