Man Dies in Benicia Pedestrian Crash on East Second Street near Interstate 780
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Police Patrol Vehicle on East Second Street in Benicia
Benicia, California (November 11, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a police patrol vehicle early Wednesday morning in Benicia.
The fatal collision happened at around 2 a.m. in the 1900 block of East Second Street near I-780.
According to the Benicia Police Department, a man in his 30s was struck by a police patrol vehicle, for reasons still under investigation.
Paramedic personnel responded to the crash and provided first aid measures to the victim, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
