1 Person Killed in Santa Cruz Pedestrian Accident on Mission Street near King Street

Santa Cruz, California (November 7, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday night traffic accident that killed a male pedestrian in Santa Cruz.

According to the police, the deadly pedestrian accident happened on November 5, on Mission Street near King Street.

The man was crossing Mission Street in a marked crosswalk when a northbound vehicle struck him, the officials said.

First responders arrived at the scene and transported the male pedestrian to Dominican Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. 

The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
