Murrieta 2-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 15 near Murrieta Hot Springs Road Seriously Hurt Margret Schilling
Murrieta, California (November 16, 2020) – The victim who was hospitalized with major injuries following a deadly traffic collision that occurred in Murrieta Saturday morning has been identified as 91-year-old Margret Schilling .
Police responded to the fatal two-vehicle crash site on November 14 along Interstate 15 at the Murrieta Hot Springs Road onramp.
The mishap involved a BMW sedan and a 2014 Hyundai Sonata that had stopped on the Murrieta interstate. The BMW reportedly failed to slow down and slammed into the back of the Hyundai.
Schilling sustained major injuries and was rushed to Inland Valley Medical Center for further medical aid.
Another victim, identified as 88-year-old Edith Mary Honer, was declared dead at the scene.
Honer was standing near the driver’s side of the Sonata at the time of the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
