Krystal Mobley Killed, Huda Gubary Injured in Modesto Car Accident at McHenry Avenue and Claribel Road
Modesto, California (November 19, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Tuesday night traffic accident that killed Krystal Mobley, 34, and injured Huda Gubary, 46, of Salida, in Modesto, the CHP said.
The deadly multi-vehicle accident occurred at about 7:00 p.m., on November 18, at McHenry Avenue and Claribel Road.
According to the California Highway, a Nissan Altima, driven by a 27-year-old man, was traveling northbound on McHenry when a westbound Lexus SUV, operated by Gubary, broadsided it.
The officials believe one of the vehicles ran a red light at the intersection.
As a result of the crash impact, the Nissan and the Lexus reportedly crashed into three other vehicles that were stopped at a red light.
Mobley, who was a passenger in the Altima, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Altima was transported to a hospital where he was also declared dead.
Gubary was hospitalized with major injuries.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
