Authorities Investigating Fatal Merced Pedestrian Crash near V Street
Merced, California (November 15, 2020) – One unidentified person was struck and killed by a train in Merced on November 13, a local news source reported.
Police responded to the fatal crash site on Friday near the 1500 block of V Street.
The freight train was heading westbound on the highway when it struck the 50-year-old party who was pushing a stroller across the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.
The pedestrian died in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
