Elizabeth Chick Fatal Shasta County Car Crash on Highway 299
52-Year-Old Elizabeth Chick ID’d as Victim Killed in Shasta County Accident on Highway 299
Shasta County, California (November 12, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol has identified the Ione victim who died following a Shasta County truck collision Tuesday morning as 52-year-old Elizabeth Marcia Chick.
The fatal crash took place at about 10 a.m., November 10, on Highway 299 east of Sugar Pine Road.
The accident involved a Honda Civic driven by Chick and a semi-truck hauling bales of hay on a curve. The semi-truck reportedly dropped six bales that crushed Chick’s Honda in the morning hours.
Due to the impact, the Honda veered off into the path of oncoming traffic and crashed with another unspecified vehicle.
Officials said two other automobiles slammed into the hay bales.
Sadly, Chick was declared dead at the crash site.
More details regarding this accident will be released immediately after the completion of the investigation.
