3 Killed and 2 Hospitalized after Butte County Car Accident on Highway 99 near Hinamin Drive
Butte County, California (November 15, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday morning multi-vehicle accident that killed three people and left two injured in Gridley, Butte County.
At about 12:40 a.m., on November 14, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly accident on Highway 99 near Hinamin Drive.
The CHP said five big rigs and five passenger vehicles collided on the highway in unclear circumstances.
Sadly, three people were injured in the accident.
Two victims were hospitalized, with one suspected to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
Traffic on Highway 99 between Biggs East Highway and Ord Ranch Road was stopped for a short period due to the accident.
The CHP’s Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team is investigating the collision.
