Carlsbad Hit-And-Run Collision on Circulo Sequoia Injures 65-Year-Old Arizona Woman

Carlsbad, California (February 1, 2020) – A suspected hit-and-run collision that took place in Carlsbad Sunday morning seriously injured a 65-year-old Arizona woman.

The Carlsbad police responded to the crash site at about 10:40 a.m. January 31 on Circulo Sequoia, just northeast of La Costa Canyon High School

A black Cadillac driven by 26-year-old John Hutchinson hit the female party while riding her bicycle on January 31.

Hutchinson, who was intoxicated at the time of the crash, did not stop to render aid and escaped the scene.

The bicyclist was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Hutchinson, was later arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
