Authorities Arrests Jesus Mendoza Following Fatal Bakersfield DUI Crash at Union Avenue and Brundage Lane
2 Killed in Bakersfield Crash at Union Avenue and Brundage Lane, Jesus Mendoza Arrested
Bakersfield, California (February 1, 2020) – Authorities have arrested the suspected DUI driver who resulted in the death of two victims at an intersection in Bakersfield as 35-year-old Jesus Moran Mendoza.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly crash site at approximately 2:17 a.m. in the area of Union Avenue and Brundage Lane.
The accident involved three vehicles that crashed at the Bakersfield intersection in the morning hours.
The mishap was reportedly caused by Mendoza who was under the influence of drugs.
The wreck left two victims dead at the scene. Two other patients were hospitalized with serious injuries sustained
in the crash.
Mendoza was later arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence causing serious bodily injury.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
