Gaviota Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 Seriously Injures Female Party
Woman Hospitalized after Gaviota Pedestrian Collision on Highway 101
Gaviota, California (January 28, 2021) – A 36-year-old Woodland Hills woman was hospitalized with major injures after being involved in a pedestrian accident Thursday afternoon in Gaviota.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash site, involving a big rig, at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Highway 101 near Arroyo Quemada Lane.
The female party was struck by a semi-truck after she stepped into the slow lane of highway.
The CHP said other vehicles veered off to avoid the woman but the big rig was unable to avoid her.
Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to an area hospital for treatment of major injuries.
More details regarding this accident will be released immediately after the completion of investigation.
