Pedestrian Killed in Oceanside Accident on Oceanside Boulevard
Oceanside, California (January 4, 2020) – A man died in a pedestrian accident on Sunday evening in Oceanside, the police said.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened at around 6:40 p.m. on Oceanside Boulevard just west of Hoover Street.
The police said a 62-year-old man was walking in the area and was struck by an unidentified vehicle.
The man was found lying in the westbound lanes and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
Several drivers had stopped at the scene.
It’s unclear if the victim was intoxicated during the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
