Man Killed in San Jacinto Pedestrian Crash on North State Street
Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Vehicle on North State Street in San Jacinto
San Jacinto, California (January 19, 2021) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle in San Jacinto early Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened at about 3:15 a.m. January 18, on North State Street, just north of Ramona Expressway.
According to the police, the driver of a Toyota sedan was traveling northbound on State Street when he suddenly saw a man lying in the middle of the road. The driver braked but was unable to stop the vehicle from running over the victim.
The driver then pulled over and contacted the authorities.
Paramedics responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures on the victim.
Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
