John Dupray Identified as Simi Valley Man Killed in Simi Valley Pedestrian Accident at First Street and Pacific Avenue
Simi Valley, California (January 16, 2021) – The Man who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday evening in Simi Valley has been identified as John Dupray, 69, of Simi Valley, authorities said.
At about 6:33 p.m., on January 15, the police responded to the deadly pedestrian accident at First Street and Pacific Avenue.
Dupray was reportedly attempting to cross First Street eastbound from the southwest corner of Pacific Avenue when a 2019 Chevy Colorado struck him. He was allegedly not in an unmarked crosswalk at the time.
As per the official’s report, the pickup truck was headed northbound in the number two lane of First Street when it struck Dupray.
Dupray was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The crash remains under investigation.
