Fatal Arden- Arcade Pedestrian Crash at Arden Way and Watt Avenue Tuesday Evening

Arden- Arcade, California (January 13, 2021) – One person died after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Arden-Arcade Tuesday evening, January 12.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the alleged DUI deadly crash site at about 6:40 p.m.at Arden Way and Watt Avenue.

A white GMC Sierra pickup driven by a 69-year-old Carmichael man hit a male party while walking in the eastbound lanes in a marked crosswalk.

Sadly, the unidentified man died in the accident.

Police arrested Carmichael man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

The CHP is still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
