Edward Casciegna Killed in North Edwards Car Crash on Highway 58 near Claymore Road
North Edwards, California (January 19, 2021) –Edward J. Casciegna, 50, of Bakersfield, has been identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office as the man who was killed in a semi-truck accident on Friday night in North Edwards.
The crash was reported at around 11:10 p.m. January 15, on Highway 58, just west of Claymore Road.
The police said Casciegna was driving his car eastbound on Highway 58 when he collided with a semi-truck in unclear circumstances.
The impact of the crash caused Casciegna’s vehicle to overturn.
Casciegna was pronounced dead at the scene.
Information about the truck driver was not provided.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
