Santa Barbara, California (January 30, 2021) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that happened in the Twin Oaks area of Santa Barbara on Friday evening.

The deadly collision happened on Highway 101 at about 7 p.m. January 29, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Three vehicles are reported to have collided for unknown reasons. The impact of the collision caused one vehicle to roll over into the center median.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The authorities said one person was able to get out of the overturned vehicle and transported themselves to the hospital.
