Sacramento County Multi-Vehicle Accident at Florin and Excelsior Roads Left Bennie Hunter Dead
Sacramento County, California (December 23, 2020) – 80-year-old Bennie Hunter has been identified as the Sacramento male victim who died following a car accident in Sacramento Monday morning, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office reported.
The fatal crash took place at the intersection of Florin Road and Excelsior Road shortly after 5:30 a.m., December 21.
As per the report, two vehicles crashed at the Sacramento intersection under unclear circumstances.
The California Highway Patrol said a third vehicle drove through the intersection and crashed into one of the two stopped automobiles.
Due to the impact, the third vehicle slammed into a ditch and burst into flame.
Meanwhile, the fire was extinguished by first responders after extricating the pinned driver.
Sadly, Hunter died in the accident. He was reportedly one of the involved motorists.
The CHP said fog played a role in the mishap.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
