Man Killed in North Richmond Pedestrian Crash on Richmond Parkway near Pittsburg Avenue
North Richmond, California (December 16, 2020) – A 60-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident that happened in North Richmond on Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at around 5:25 p.m. December 15, in the southbound lanes of Richmond Parkway near Pittsburg Avenue.
As per the CHP report, the man was walking in the area when he was struck by an orange Toyota Tacoma.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP said the motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be a factor in the crash.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The accident is under investigation.
