Major Injury Pedestrian Accident Reported at Monterey and Leavesley Roads in Gilroy
Gilroy, California (December 27, 2020) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in Gilroy on Saturday evening.
As per a police report, the accident happened at the intersection of Monterey and Leavesley roads at about 5:50 p.m. December 26.
A man was reportedly struck by a vehicle at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
The man suffered major injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The name of the pedestrian was not disclosed.
The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the accident, the police said.
The accident remains under investigation.
