1 Person Killed in Carlsbad Pedestrian Accident near Grand Avenue and State Street
Carlsbad, California (November 20, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train on Thursday evening in Carlsbad, authorities said.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred just before 7:20 p.m., on November 19, near the Carlsbad Village Station just off Grand Avenue and State Street.
According to the police, the pedestrian was struck by an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 584 that was heading southbound.
Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
