52-Year-Old Danville Man Killed, Bicyclist Hospitalized after Danville Motorcycle Accident at San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Fountain Springs Road

Danville, California (November 23, 2020) – A 52-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a Sunday afternoon traffic accident that left a bicyclist with minor injuries in Danville, authorities said.

The accident happened at the intersection of San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Fountain Springs Road at about 12:30 p.m. on November 22.

According to the police, the bicycle was headed southbound on the roadway when the rider lost control and fell in front of the 52-year-old motorcyclist who was traveling southbound on San Ramon Valley Boulevard.

First responders arrived at the scene and performed CPR on the motorcyclist. Sadly, the 52-year-old Danville man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bicyclist sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Traffic on San Ramon Valley Boulevard between Fountain Springs Drive and Elworthy Ranch Road was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.

An investigation into the collision is underway.
