Man Dies after Fowler Big Rig Accident at E Lincoln Road and S Temperance Avenue
Fowler, California (November 26, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday evening traffic accident that killed a man near Fowler in Fresno County.
At around 6:00 p.m., on November 25, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly accident at the intersection of E Lincoln Road and S Temperance Avenue.
The CHP, a white Ford Fusion, driven by the man, was headed westbound on Lincoln Road towards Temperance Avenue when a tractor-trailer pulled into the intersection from northbound Temperance Avenue.
Unfortunately, the big rig entered the path of the Ford Fusion, and both vehicles collided. The Ford Fusion became wedged underneath the trailer, the officials said.
Sadly, the driver of the Ford Fusion was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Authorities said westbound and eastbound traffic on Lincoln Road don’t have a stop sign at the intersection. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the collision.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
