Lemon Grove Bicycle Accident on Massachusetts Avenue and Westview Place Kills Ralph Barnhill Jr.
Lemon Grove, California (November 12, 2020) – The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has identified 52-year-old Ralph Gibson Barnhill Jr. as the San Diego bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Lemon Grove on October 29.
The deadly bicycle crash was reported shortly before 8:00 p.m. in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Westview Place.
Barnhill was struck by a southbound vehicle while riding his bicycle across the street in the morning hours.
Meanwhile, the involved driver stopped and cooperated with the law.
Sadly, Barnhill died at Scripps Mercy Hospital while undergoing treatment.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in this accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
