Augustus Staton Hit and Killed in by Vehicle at Myrtle Avenue and Macklin Drive in Cotati
Cotati, California (November 19, 2020) – Augustus Staton, 55, of Cotati, has been identified as the man who was hit and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Cotati on Monday afternoon.
The Police said the deadly accident was reported at around 12:30 p.m. in the area of Myrtle Avenue and Macklin Drive.
Staton was walking his dog near Helen Putnam Park when a van struck him.
Emergency crews responded to the crash and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The dog was not injured.
The driver of the van stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected to be a factors in the collision.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
