Santiago Noriega Dies after Multiple Vehicles Crash on Pomona (60) Freeway in Monterey Park

Monterey Park, California (January 27, 2021) – The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has identified the Chino victim who died following a multi-vehicle collision Monday afternoon in Monterey Park as 56-year-old Santiago Noriega.

The deadly crash took place on the Pomona (60) Freeway near the Atlantic Boulevard off-ramp just before 2:30 p.m. 

It was not immediately established how the multiple vehicles crashed on January 25.

Sadly, Noriega was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck resulted in the closure of three lanes of the highway for about two hours as investigation and clean-up took place.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
