Ramona, California (November 25, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed in a Tuesday night traffic accident involving a truck in Ramona, authorities said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 7:29 p.m. on 24135 Barona Mesa Road.

The CHP said the pedestrian was struck by a white truck on the roadway. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established.

Sadly, the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident.

The involved vehicle was towed away from the scene for evidence.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
