Lavonne Perez Killed in Fountain Valley Pedestrian Crash on Brookhurst Street
Fountain Valley, California (November 23, 2020) – A woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Saturday afternoon in Fountain Valley has been identified as Lavonne Perez, 85, of Fountain Valley.
The fatal crash was reported at around 4:30 p.m. in a parking lot at 18405 Brookhurst Street.
According to the Fountain Valley Police Department, a 70-year-old Fountain Valley woman was backing her Lexus SUV out of a parking space when she struck Perez.
The involved driver stopped and remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the crash.
The police are investigating the accident.
